On Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. The Fashion Group International® of Greater Washington, DC will present legendary fashion designer Isabel Toledo for a special book signing reception and discussion, co-sponsored by Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design.
Pulitzer Prize Winning Fashion Critic and Author, Robin Givhan of The Daily Beast and Newsweek will conduct a spirited chat with Isabel Toledo about her illustrious career as one of the most celebrated independent fashion designers of our times, her inspiring fashion philosophy and unique collaboration with husband, artist Ruben Toledo.
6:30 p.m. – Cocktail Reception. Guests will be able to purchase signed copies of Toledo’s newest tome, Roots of Style, in the Corcoran’s North Atrium.
7:45 p.m. – Live Chat with Robin Givhan in the Corcoran’s Armand Hammer Auditorium .
